Sylvère Tanguy, a French talented friend who has lived and worked in Indonesia for long years, leads us to wild places with his high tech video equipment for unforgettable moments.
He now broadcasts this big chapter on the MOZ in INDO.

2015 VIDEO TRIP IN OZ

In may 2015, when the winter swell was coming in South hemisphere, I leave my training residence in Gran Canaria to fly to Sydney. For one month I am traveling in solo, in the middle of Mother Nature in New South Wales. No car, just my feet and nice drivers picking up around there.

A mix of opportunities to ride many secret spots. A warm welcome by Glen Thurston and his family.

A good job with Agent eighteen with my new contract. Very good conditions for training, physical and mental balance, with endless surf sessions in the middle of nowhere. I should say in the middle of hidden paradises… with top leveled riders full of daring and talent.

So long Aussies, I will soon be back. Thank you for all the positive energy and spirit you give to me ever.

I am sure that you will inspire me on the new 2015 World tour.

2015 – TRIP IN INDONESIA – Pictures

Indonesia – Bali & Sumbawa – June 2015

ADVENTURE, WAVES AND FAMILY

In early April 2015, I spend 5 weeks travelling and training by myself in Australia. When June is coming, I am really happy to see my familly flying from Canary Islands to meet me in Bali.
I fly to Denpasar from Sydney to meet Magdalena and Oliver who land on after a long trip flying from Las Palmas. We stay for one week in Bali to relax. After that, we go to Sumbawa to score a good swell. We are really lucky as it is not too crowded and the waves are pumping!

My friend Sylvere Tanguy makes many footages in extreme conditions and we have been working on a super video MOZ in INDO – video

DISCOVERING A CULTURE

Local people a peaceful, welcoming and it is a very interesting experience to share their lifestyle for a while. We discover smiling and joyfull families living by the seaside, most of them fishermen and growers.
Indonesia is such an amazing country with perfect waves… But the bodyboarding culture still really poor so it is time to change that and to make local people realize how fun bodyboarding is.

2015- My daily routine during my trip in Australia

A resourcing trip in Oz

Australia, NSW – May 2015

2015 Freesurf Bodyboarding FSB

Edited when the FreeSurf Bodyboarding FSB World Tour has been launched in early 2015, with a medley of different shots of the European contenders to the FSB Tour, this mix-movie shows you how hard is the fight between a rider and the waves, between his body and mother nature, between his failures and his will. The text said on the pics is subtitled in Spanish. You will enjoy PLC, Alex Uranga,other riders and me -on El Fronton wave- simply making our job.

Springtime swell and big ride

With Dark of the Waves, you will enjoy a medley of good sessions during the winter swell at El Fronton in early 2015. Pierre-Louis Costes was there with me for a while. See also Pedro Santiago and Miguel Macias. Big bombs, strong sensations, high feelings : El Fronton is a majestic wave. Respect.

After my second world title, RIDING ZONE – the only French TV program dedicated to extreme sports- decides to produce a full report about me, titled THE RIDER IN HIGH SPIRITS.
The film crew came to Gran Canaria, to discover my lifestyle, my favourite spots, my projects and what makes my success.
My memories of Reunion Island and my vision of our sport.

I fly to Iquique as the Captain of the Team France for the 2014 ISA World Championship.
It is a great moment for all the team and we work hard all together to get the best possible rankings.

We are very closed to each other, we support everyone and we make the job !

Congrats to all the French team for the job and the mutual support !

Sport and generosity

I support the French PETITS PRINCES non-profit organisation for diseased children.
I decide to take the mascot of the association with the Team in Chile whereas I launch a fundraising for the organisation Les Petits Princes.
My partner on this operation is the FFS and SNIPER, that offers a board to a donor drawn by lot.
Then « Le Petit Prince » mascot travels with the French Team and it was our lucky charm.

2014 A SECOND WORLD TITLE

« I believe that great moments are made for great opportunities. If you have got a dream, you are going to protect it. If you want something, go and get it. »
See in that movie how fantastic 2014 year was and other big moments in my rider’s life.
All this is can be called A lifelong dream, that is true.
So don’t dream your life, but live your dream.

2014 French National League

Every year, since I was eleven, I attend the French National League with the Reunion Island Team. The location of the national championship changes every year, most of the time in the south west Atlantic coast, but also in Bretagne ou Vendée.

In 2014, we are in Hossegor (Landes coast), and the French Surfing Federation celebrates its 50th birthday. With many others World Champs in all categories, I am honored with an awards, during a special ceremony.
During the 2014 edition, I defend my Drop Knee title successfully and I am very happy to see my friend Laury Grenier getting a gold medal on the Open category. I appreciate my silver medal as well. Reunion bodyboarding for ever.
Since 2015, on late October, every year, the Fronton King APB event (Canary Island) happens at the same period as the National League, so I cannot attend the competition. I hope one day, I can be back to compete in France with my friends and new talented guys.
