AFRICAN BODYBOARD ON THE TOP

It is now a recurring event that always gives me great joy : an Amaury Academy course in Senegal, West Africa.

I love flying to Senegal, which is not toofar from Gran Canaria. I am invited by my friend Aymeric Senior and the SENEGLISS Surf and bodyboard school.

From beginners to quite skilled riders, I really enjoy warm water and nice beach breaks and the friendly atmosphere out there.

2020 – Costa Rica – A trip and a comp

AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE

For the first time in 2020, I travel to the Caribbean coast of the wonderful country of Costa Rica !
It is an amazing experience as I can ride some of the best waves of the country.
I also compete on The SALSA BRAVA Challenge organized bu the ANCR Association of Bodyboard of Costa Rica.
As well as, I share my skill and passion with the local community through a course with Amaury Academy.

Such an awesome life experience…PURA VIDA IS REAL 🙏

2020 – Fifteen years with SNIPER

I have been riding SNIPER bodyboards since 2005, fifteen years of confidence and success for both the brand and me. I am proud to ride for this French bodyboarding company created in the year 2000 with the aim of bringing a wide range of bodyboards, corresponding to every skill levels and styles.

Thanks to Benoît Brecq, team manager since 2010 and to all people working with and for SNIPER.

2019-2020 KEEP IT UP ! Winter waves in Gran Canary

Winter 2019 – 2020 – Galdar ,Gran Canaria

Big swell and high sensations

On my playing ground, in Galdar – Gran Canaria, winter offers strong waves in perfect riding conditions.
I can enjoy the daily swell coming from the Atlantic ocean. The water temperature is quite stable around 20° and the morning sun offers the ideal light.
I am really found of this place where I am living, with the mountain of Galdar and the cliffs falling in the sea.
Enjoy ALL this video : the waves and my tricks, of course.
But don’t miss the water purity and transparency, the caress of the sun’s rays, the sky and the whole nature.
And the feeling of freedom just down my house.
Then, keep it up !

Amaury Academy – Arica, CHILE – 2019

CHILE – Arica – 2019 Late July and early August

A SPECIAL WORK SHOP

As I am attending the 2019 Gran Slam Serie in Arica, I am invited to meet up with Chilean riders for an Amaury Academy work shop.
The local promoters have dealed with the APB organization for the promotion of sport and bodyboard by internationl champions.
With Amaury Academy, I can share my technical and practical advice with any rider or sportsman involved in progress and performances.

The courses with physical exercices for global training are really nice, and the learners are really interested and motivated.

Hope that this kind of happening will be duplicated in other countries !

I do belive that sportsmen have a big part to play in sharing advice about training and fitness.

I REALLY LOVE SHARING MY PASSION FOR SPORTS AND AN HEALTHY LIFE !

2019 – Riding & Family Trip in Mexico

Big riding sessions & a nice family life

My family and I had a big chance to spend happy moments on 2019 Summer. My wife Malennhy, our two kids Oliver (6 yo), Nahara (2yo) and I left Madrid for Puerto-Escondido ( Mexico) for two perfect weeks of waves, lovely lifestyle, good fitness and nice settings in a blessed nature.
Life is simple when you can live your dream with the ones you love.

Amaury Academy – COSTA RICA – 2019

THE PEARL OF PACIFIC OCEAN

This Amaury Academy takes place as I am travelling with my wife Malennhy and our two children Oliver and Nahara.
We have decided to travel from June until August 2019 far from Gran Canaria, in Mexico, Puerto-Rico and Costa Rica.
May be we had the intuition of the bad 2020 and 2021 happenings that would close fronteers and freedom…
Located on the coast of the Pacific Ocean, Puntarenas is nicknamed « The pearl of Pacific ocean » : you can imagine !

LISTENING AND TALKING TO YOU

At the beginning of my course, it is important to talk with the trainees.
Their questions help to find solutions to improve their riding.
That’s why you have to talk about your experiences, your difficulties
and I can meet those expectations precisely.
This is the key to progress.

TELLING YOU THE BASICS

Bodyboarding is a gymnic sport : this requires precision in gestures and positions,
acuity in looking at waves and trajectories.

I always take the time to explain the basics :
arm-hand-body contact points on the board,
spatial decomposition of the various manoeuvres (simple or more complex)
to allow to better visualize the movements and thus to better position oneself on the board.
This is the key to success.

ZICATELA, THE PLACE TO RIDE

Maybe I was having an intuition about what would be 2020 and 2021 for all of us…
Anyway, with my wife Magdalena we hace decided to travel in Latin America for a long trip from 2019 June to August, with our two kids, Oliver and Nahara.
It was a pretty good idea. People are so lovely, waves are so incredible and nature so generous overthere.
Then I planed my Amaury Academy courses in every place we have travelled.

In Mexico, Puerto Escondido, precisely at Zicatela, there is a faboulous beachbreak and the riders are quite skilled and darefull.
They are many of them coming for my Academy and we really enjoy very good moments together, as for technical courses as for riding sessions in the waves.
Adults, teenagers and young riders have been attending my courses.

After the technical approch on the beach, we have had very good rigind sessions on the spot.
It has been realy funny and brilliant !

YOU ON YOUR BOARD : KEY POINTS OF CONTACT

These pictures show the technical approach courses for positioning on the board and taking in hand.
It is very useful to understand the position of the hands and arms before and during manoeuvres.
So, I always insist on these points before we hit the waves.
The result is very positive, usually each rider significantly improves his position and he feels better in the waves.

CHOOSE THE BEST POSITIONING

Feel the board under your body,
Put your hands and fingers in the right place
Learn to adapt your positioning according to the timing of the wave
are fundamental steps to progress.
